Well, it was just over a week ago we had our first conference of the year. Overall I think we can say it was a success!
The new 2 day workshop/lecture
format seemed to be very well received. We apologize to everyone we had t turn away, but we have no control over the limitation on class size. With that in mind, we are investigating expanding the format for the North conference to include
TWO days of workshops.

Here at the office we are getting new machines and usually that isn’t a problem, however. This time it seems they have reset my archive for E-mail. Thus I do
not have the original submission and/or name of the individual who designed the IBUG logo.

Speaking of the logo, I hope everyone
appreciated the USB drives we handed out and can use them! We did not receive the presentation files in time to copy them over but we have posted what we did receive to the web site.
One last thing. We will soon begin posting the
minutes from the monthly officer meetings; one thing that was voted upon during the last meeting was to add a second Vice Chair position. We have decided that the Vice Chair(s) will take the lead on coordinating the Spring and Fall
conferences. Dale has taken on the North/Fall conference so we need someone to step up and volunteer to help out with the South/Spring conference next year. If you would like to volunteer for the position, please contact me (again, at) Tim.c.wright@illinois.gov
